UP School Boys Complain of Bullying by Girl Students
Male students at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, a residential school in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya district, have complained about being bullied by girl students. The seventh-grade boys wrote a letter to the school principal, asking for an apology from the girls.
In their letter, the boys stated that the girls called them names like ‘Lalla,’ ‘rasgulla,’ and ‘daamar.’ They also mentioned that the girls disrupted class by making noise, singing songs, and reciting Hindi dialogues. When the boys asked the girls to behave, they were told to “stay in their limits” (‘aukaat me raho’). The boys also listed the names of the girls involved in the bullying.
The issue gained attention after the complaint letter went viral on social media. The school’s principal, Sanjiv Gupta, said the incident occurred two months ago. Upon receiving the complaint, a team of wardens and teachers counseled the girls, and the matter was resolved.
However, Gupta has requested a report from the wardens and teachers to understand why he was not informed about the issue earlier. The school continues to monitor the situation to ensure a safe environment for all students.
